A Brief Overview: The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the relationship with defined Commercial and Industrial accounts that are deemed key by the cooperative including the recommendation and management of electric rates and charges with these associated accounts needed to ensure appropriate revenues for the financing of the cooperative's operations.
What you will do:
Manage key account programs which focus on new business, business retention and expansion of existing large business customers
Coordinate integrated key account program to enhance member loyalty and support good will within service territory. Research and update members’ industry trends. Annually surveys or updates information on the attitudes, interests, needs, demographics and psychographics of all key accounts members.
Develop and maintain interactive working relationships with allied organizations, government agencies, and other influential individuals and organizations to broaden the Cooperative’s public relations base
Recommend rate structure to maintain strong financial position with the Cooperative; recommend incorporation Service Rules and Regulations to ensure fair distribution of costs between Members
Serve as a liaison with the communities served by the Cooperative. Represent the Cooperative in the communities throughout the service area by participating in civic and related organizations to improve the Cooperative’s image in the community and utility industry
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key state, regional and local economic development stakeholders to promote company service areas and offerings to industry prospects. Actively seek board positions within local economic development organizations
Work with economic development organization partners to promote the company’s service area as an attractive location for new business/expansion through targeted business recruitment missions and attendance at significant national, regional and local meetings/conferences
Serve as the initial point of contact for new business prospects and coordinates response for specific site selection inquiries
Manage Cooperative’s revolving loan portfolio of grant and borrowed funds to insure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as programmatic guidelines
Administer operations of Cooperative's economic development loan program including risk analysis, collections, payoffs, and program promotion.
Utilize prudent commercial lending strategies to recruit economic development loan opportunities
Assist applicants in the completion of commercial loan documents as necessary for loan consideration
Present loan applications for review and consideration to the Cooperative loan committee and Board of Directors
Responsible for maintaining the economic development database that tracks project activities and monthly reporting activities

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Business, engineering, finance or communications
5-8 years Progressive experience working in economic development, energy services, commercial account management or key accounts at an electric utility or related organization
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Knowledge of electricity and electrical distribution and transmission circuits
Ability to plan, organize and execute an effective work program engaging the participation of key accounts across diverse industries to achieve both internal and external goals
Strong analytical skills; good planning, organizational, and project management skills; is creative, deadline-driven and self-motivated
Proven skills in effectively communicating both orally and in written form to executive level management and senior public officials
