How can you benefit EnergyUnited? In this role you will:
Provide the necessary skills for the effective performance of the activities of the assigned position within policies and procedures.
Make recommendations for changes needed to improve the performance of the Service Area as it relates to the position of Region Line Manager II.
Organize and cooperate with other personnel in performing assigned responsibilities.
Observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations adopted by the Cooperative.
Monitor and enforce work-rules as adopted by the Cooperative.
Assist the Director of Operations in planning and implementation of departmental objectives.
Direct all of the Cooperative’s functions within the Region specifically related to the supervision of the construction, operations and maintenance of the Region distribution, transmission and substation systems.
Be responsible for planning and scheduling of construction, maintenance and operations work so as to be completed in a timely manner.
Provide proper equipment and materials for all construction, maintenance and operations projects.
Be responsible for seeing that all construction, maintenance and operations activities are completed within the specifications of system standards, RUS requirements, engineering standards, and the National Electric Safety Code.
Maintain programs and schedules necessary for after hour trouble response.
Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary for the proper application of Customer Service, Special Projects, Construction, Operations and Maintenance within the Region.
Be responsible for coordinating training programs for construction, maintenance and operations personnel as adopted by the Cooperative or requested by the Director of Operations.
Interact in a professional manner with customers to resolve damage complaints, power quality issues, work coordination and other general inquiries from Customer Care.
Ensure employees understand applicable safety rules and provides feedback on safety behaviors.
Inspect and assure that employees tools and equipment are properly maintained and in safe working condition, inclusive of fleet vehicles and equipment.
Manage any fleet vehicle and equipment requirements with the Director of Fleet.
Coordinate appropriate programs with the Manager of Safety.
Plan and hold meetings as necessary to ensure a safe working environment.
Coordinate daily Service Truck activities within the Region.
Coordinate daily Staking activities within the Region with the Work Control Manager.
Attend conferences and schools as requested by the Director of Operations.
Ensure that procedures and practices are in place to provide materials when required.
Provide liaison functions to the Region communities to facilitate EnergyUnited’s desire to be a good corporate citizen. This may include such activities as attending City Council, Chamber of Commerce, civic clubs and other public meetings

Position Requirements: To be considered for this position you must:
Have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience in field operations or no Bachelors and fifteen years of relevant experience in field operations and served in leadership roles.
Have knowledge of construction and maintenance work practices, have experience in service restoration efforts and familiarity with RUS Construction Manual. Knowledge of RUS electrical utility construction and work order procedures is desirable.
Have good Customer Relations skills and supervisory experience is a plus. Must possess strong business office skills for planning and budgeting items.
Have a positive, open mind and considerate attitude toward the responsibilities of the position.
Possess knowledge of distribution and transmission construction, maintenance and operations required. Knowledge of human relations and human behavior required. Should possess knowledge of RUS Construction Manual, National Electric Safety Code and electric utility safety rules and regulations.
Be a self-starter.
Have an attitude of neatness, timeliness, orderliness and accuracy toward the job.
Possess a very conscientious attitude toward record keeping.

This position is categorized as Hybrid, which is a work arrangement that allows an employee to perform work associated with this position at both an EnergyUnited Office location and their home.
This position is a Direct Operational Position. All employees assigned to an operational position in headquarters or in a district or regional office must make their domicile not more than a twenty (20) mile radius from their respective office.
