Project Controls Specialist/Scheduler

General Summary
We are currently looking for a Project Controls Specialist/Scheduler who will provide project controls for transmission capital project teams, including using Primavera schedule software to create, maintain, monitor and analyze resource loaded capital project schedules and to develop risk mitigation action plans to correct negative trends in the schedule.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate with project managers to prepare, develop and maintain detailed resource- and cost-loaded project schedules for transmission and substation projects.
Maintain the Primavera tool for transmission’s use in coordination with the Enterprise Project Management Core Team.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships to support effective business processes and methods in a manner that promotes and demonstrates teamwork and supports GRE initiatives.
Develop reporting for transmission management to provide awareness of schedule and cost performance.
Qualifications
Knowledge typically acquired through post-secondary education to include project scheduling curriculum that could be gained through a certification program and/or degree program.
3 years of project scheduling and controls experience, along with demonstrated ability to coordinate teams of project professionals.
Must have or be able to quickly gain proficiency in Primavera P6 software and Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of project scheduling software, preferably, Primavera, as applied to critical path method scheduling.
Knowledge of project schedule risk mitigation techniques.
Demonstrated skills in project scheduling and controls processes, tools and techniques.
Skill in developing and delivering effective presentations.
Skill in conflict resolution including the ability to address difference of opinions or facts and the use of the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.
Ability to perform critical path analysis of project schedules and propose changes to keep projects on track.
Ability to analyze and monitor the performance of multiple and varied projects concurrently.
Ability to utilize effective listening skills with the ability to interpret and clearly articulate user requirements and team member contributions.
Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize time and workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
