Who We Are Created in 1937, Umatilla Electric Cooperative (UEC) energized its first 157 miles of line just one year later. Since then, we have strived to continually provide affordable and reliable electric service to our members in northeast Oregon. Driven by member investments in technology, transportation, farming, and food processing, UEC has grown into Oregon’s largest consumer-owned electric utility and the largest electric cooperative in 10 western states in terms of power sales.
