NISC is looking for a highly motivated and collaborative individual to join our User Experience team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing the behavior, interactions and visual interface of new product features as well as improving the usability and design of existing product features. This role will frequently be tasked with solving complex design challenges and presenting recommendations that focus on a superior customer experience. You will primarily be working on responsive desktop interfaces but may also be tasked with work for mobile, voice and augmented reality. You will also be responsible for gaining deep insight into our users' behaviors and needs through user research and product discovery. Essential Duties:
Apply user-centered design principles in the creation of interfaces for highly complex use cases.
Prototype at a variety of fidelities as required by the project.
Design independently while also drawing upon the collective experience of the UX team.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure interface designs fulfill business needs in addition to providing an exceptional user experience.
Oversee and ensure consistency in validated design patterns and standards across the enterprise.
Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed user interface specs and design patterns.
Conduct quantitative in-person and remote usability testing to understand effectiveness and efficiency of interfaces and satisfaction of users.
Analyze user study data, present findings to stakeholders, and resolve identified issues for projects of highly complex projects.
Participate in developer standups and internal CRB boards as a representative of the UX team.
Coordinate with the team on research and/or design efforts needed on change requests.
Collaborate with the team to design and lead UX workshops, training, and structured research opportunities as required.
Develop conceptual use cases, diagrams, and/or wireframes that consider business requirements, UX research, personas, workflow analysis, customer feedback, analytics and usability findings.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred:
3+ years of related experience preferred.
Advanced level of understanding and familiarity with the principles of interface, interaction, and visual design of web and mobile interfaces.
Advanced level understanding of human behavior and interactions with digital devices and media and uncovering user needs and opportunities.
Advanced level knowledge in a variety of methods such as storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, etc.
Advanced level knowledge of business-related software applications and services.
Advanced level knowledge of Project Management processes and theory.

Education Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
