Thomas Hill Energy Center is currently seeking applicants for a Safety & Environmental Specialist in the Power Production division. This position works directly within EH&S to promote and support the Thomas Hill Energy Center team. This position will Identify, evaluate and control hazards to minimize operating costs, improve efficiency, protect employees and company assets and ensure each facility is in compliance with safety and environmental federal, state, and local regulations. This position is part of a job family, and all experience levels will be considered.
Primary job responsibilities include:
Coordinate the Plant Emergency Response by scheduling training of the team to ensure readiness and necessary equipment for effective team responses.
Collection, quality assurance and reporting of Plant EH&S data to support the effective management of the plant program.
Coordinate contractor EH&S requirements to work safely and manage environmental risks.
Develop and Deliver EH&S Training, audit, incident investigations and resolution management.
Collection, quality assurance and reporting of data for Plant environmental permits and requirements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety management, environmental science or other related field, or equivalent EH&S technical level experience.
Knowledge of EH&S regulations, regulatory agencies.
Interpersonal skills to communicate EH&S requirements to internal &: external stakeholders.
