This position performs a variety of tasks to support the Association’s right-of-way clearing efforts. Duties include but are not limited to inspection of existing maintenance agreements, inspection of right-of-way easements, resolving member complaints, assisting contractors with contract compliance, inspection of clearing work performed by contractors and Association crews to ensure clearing standards are met, notifying members of planned clearing activities, promoting safe work practices, and educating members regarding the Association’s clearing program.
ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates are required to have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in right-of-way clearing, preferably with an electric utility.
Preference will be given to:
- Candidates with at least two (2) years of experience performing inspections.
- Candidates with professional experience in inspection of power line easements.
Qualified candidates must have a valid Alaska driver’s license (or ability to obtain as required under State of Alaska regulations) and a driving record, which is acceptable and insurable by the Association and the Association’s insurance carrier at standard group rates.
