Gunnison County Electric Association, Inc. is currently seeking application for an electrical engineer position.  This is a full-time position that will be reporting to the Gunnison Headquarters location.  This position is responsible for the design, coordination, overcurrent protection, voltage regulation, load balancing, planning, and troubleshooting of the cooperative’s electric power distribution system. Understand and follow established policies and procedures for electric distribution construction and maintenance.

Requires the ability to become knowledgeable in electrical distribution system design, construction, operation, and maintenance.

Solid verbal and communication skills, knowledge of electrical equipment/materials, organizational skills, and work cooperatively with others.

Advanced computer skills, effectively utilize engineering software, industry software, mapping software, word processing and spreadsheets.  Basic data entry skills are required.

Ability to multi-task, as well as develop plans, procedures and goals, present work to others and prioritize.

Requires the ability to work under stress and to complete projects accurately and timely within reasonable deadlines.

Deduction, accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and math skills are important.

Demonstrate ability to work with the public.

Ability to safely drive on all types of roads and terrain for extended periods of time.
