Oversees the operation of Hoosier Energy’s operational and business data and voice networks. Configures, monitors, and supports the LAN and WAN infrastructure, including data, voice, video, wireless, virtual, and cloud networking components.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Designs data, voice, and video network infrastructure, including operational, business, LAN, WAN, internet, and member connections.
Installs, configures, maintains, and optimizes LAN and WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, VPN appliances, virtual and cloud networking components, wireless access points and controllers, voice and video telecommunications systems, security devices, and other associated devices.
Ensures security patches are applied to all network infrastructure devices, including voice and video systems.
Works with IT system administrators, SCADA/EMS administrators, generation system personnel, technicians, etc. to ensure operational and business networks are performing at an exceptional level.
Provides support for voice/video systems, wireless networks, and other end-user requests.
Manages and monitors network performance and asset inventory, utilizing network management tools and following industry best practices.
Manages video conferencing, voice, and wireless infrastructure.
Monitors critical system redundancy and security for disaster preparedness.
Manages data center network infrastructure, and assists with storage and virtualization.
Maintains accurate documentation.
Manages and coordinates IT network project activity.
Manages contractors and consultants on a per-project basis.
Acts as the network operations team stakeholder on other departments' projects.
Maintains technical knowledge and stays abreast of state-of-the-art communications and network devices. Maintains knowledge of applicable compliance requirements, including NERC CIP and NIST CSF.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Informatics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field minimum.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Informatics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field preferred.
Relevant industry certifications – Cisco, Palo Alto, CompTIA, or other relevant certification preferred.
Experience:
Five years’ minimum years’ progressive experience in a data network environment, including knowledge of multiple IP routing protocols and voice/video communications minimum.
