The Employee Development Specialist will have primary responsibility for designing and implementing programs that support Dairyland’s strategy for continued professional learning and development. Responsible for management of the learning platform, full lifecycle of Dairyland’s Leadership Academy including design and instruction along with the coordination and support of employee development plans.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Identify, design, develop and deliver innovative learning and development solutions across the organization to support employee growth and promote a high performing organization
Translate developmental requirements into learning objectives that will enable employees to continuously progress competencies to improve performance and behaviors in current and future positions
Produce handouts, videos, instructional materials, aids, and manuals that deliver an engaging learner experience Develops annual Talent Development calendar in coordination with members of Dairyland’s Training Council Partner with key stakeholders and team members to deliver onboarding programs that support a hybrid working environment and enable employees to ramp up quickly and effectively
Provides support to succession planning across Dairyland including recommendations for coaching and external courses/workshops
Maintains accuracy of information and records in Dairyland’s Learning Management System (LMS) and resolves LMS issues as needed
Monitors and reports on attendance and compliance with required courses in adherence with applicable regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience with developing and implementing learning and development programs. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Skills:
Knowledge of training strategies and principles, including adult learning theory, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Demonstrated proficiency in partnering with SMEs to collect and clarify information and organize it into a clear, documented output.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Highly developed writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong competency and experience with developing and utilization of Learning Management Systems
Flexibility to quickly change focus to address pressing training needs.
Adept with using and developing content within a variety of multi-media training platforms
Classroom management skills including organization, time management, recognizing learner accomplishments, and correcting inappropriate behavior.
