Manages the short-term and long-term activities in treasury functions to meet the financial obligations of the business including cash flow, borrowings, debt and capital management and leasing. Maintains relationships and compliance with external lenders, including the Rural Utilities Service, energy market facilitators, and commercial and investment banks and counterparties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Monitor and analyze daily cash position. Conduct transactions to cover cash commitments. Prepares bi-weekly cash forecasts with variance analysis.
2. Responsible for integrity and controls of bank accounts. Oversight and approval of wire transfer and automated clearing house (ACH) transactions. Reviews bank statements for accuracy. Process payment cancellations/reversals.
3. Develops strategic financing scenarios, plans and recommendations on the optimal use of short-term and long-term financing, protecting the Company’s liquidity and credit rating. Administers borrowings with various counterparties.
4. Works within and across the division to understand the financing needs of the Enterprise Strategic Plan and short- and long-term financial forecasts.
5. Leads the operating and capital leasing program.
6. Supports preparation and facilitation of Board committee meetings. Presents information to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership.
7. Understands internal and external credit policies and contracts. Monitors credit metrics for compliance and impact on Dairyland’s credit, liquidity, or general ability to effectively operate within energy markets. Assists with compliance filings.
8. Assesses and maintains a database of the credit worthiness of current and potential Dairyland counterparties. Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and providing input on the credit related terms of contracts.
9. Assist others within the division with financial reporting and requests as needed.
Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is required with a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive business finance experience. Three (3) years of commercial treasury experience required. Experience in the utility industry preferred. MBA or CPA preferred.

Functional experience with ERP systems is preferred. • Fundamental knowledge of treasury and credit terms, and various debt structures. Experience negotiating lending agreements. • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
