Maintains, calibrates, programs, and monitors Data Acquisition System (DAS), Digital Electro-Hydraulic (DEH), Digital Control System (DCS), computers, environmental analyzers and equipment, transmitters, electronic equipment, lab analyzers, sensor loops, solenoids, transducers and controllers. Develops programs for Allen Bradley Process Logic Controller (PLC) operations, as required
Performs inspections, tests, adjusts, and repairs electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instruments.
Inspects, tests, calibrates, repairs and maintains electrical systems, valves, solenoids, indicators, gauges, meters, relays; both analog and digital
Helps with Class A IE Technicians, IE Helpers and temporary employees.
Tests accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters or detectors and other recordings indicating or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system.
Utilizes test equipment to include, but not limited to: pressure gauges, mercury manometers, potentiometers, pulse and signal generators, oscilloscopes, transistor curve tracers, ammeters, voltmeters and watt meters.
Lubricates instruments and replaces defective wiring, tubing, conduits and associated equipment.
Maintains lubrication and filter systems on electrical/instrumentation systems including, but not limited to; motors, fans,
Maintains a safe and clean work area.
May be required to work on call, after hours, weekends and holidays.
Education
Experience
License & Certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Journeyman, state certification, or 5 years of industrial electrical work experience
And/or
Associate’s Degree in Instrumentation Technology or related field preferred
• At least 4 years’ experience in industrial electrician preferred
