We are currently seeking applicants for an Auditor in the Audit Services department of our Executive Division located in Springfield, MO. This position involves conducting audit engagements that consist of operational, financial, compliance, and contract audits at AECI and member Generation & Transmission cooperatives, inventory observations, risk assessments, reviewing corporate policies and procedures, and conducting investigations. All experience levels will be considered.
What a day in the job looks like:
Gains an understanding of AECI’s financial accounting system
Applies accounting and auditing principles
Assists with member owner audits
Completes tasks outlined within audit programs and reports on findings
Reviews and documents accounting transactions and operational procedures
Performs physical inventory counts and evaluates results
Reviews internal controls
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Understanding of accounting principles
Ability to analyze and organize information in a logical format
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate in a team environment and is receptive to feedback
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15%
