Under executive direction of the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the overall management of the following functions and functional areas:

• Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate information to establish goals and measure performance.
• Lead the annual and rolling operating plan and budget process including conducting reviews with the executive team and presenting to the Board of Directors in the absence of senior leadership or as requested.
• Lead the annual and rolling capital budget process including conducting reviews with the executive team and presenting to the Board of Directors in the absence of senior leadership or as requested.
• Lead the annual long term financial forecast process including conducting reviews with the executive team and presenting to the Board of Directors in the absence of senior leadership or as requested.
• Lead scenario modeling efforts including analysis of new expansion and dispatch plans, acquisitions, capital spending, financing alternatives, and capital structure changes. Participate in the company's due diligence efforts.
• Develop and execute processes for the capital spending review process.
• Develop and execute processes to allow for routine analytical reviews of company and business unit financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools.
• Routinely communicate business unit and company consolidated financial and operational performance information, trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics.
• Prepare presentations in support of board meetings and senior management strategy meetings. Present to Committees and Board as requested.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting.

Recommends annual budgets to meet goals and objectives aligned to support organizational strategies, goals and objectives. Actively monitors performance against budget to identify variances and improve future execution.
• Adhere to and demonstrate compliance with appropriate electric utility industry regulatory requirements. Attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of development in regulations, laws, standards and best practices applicable to the functional area including, but not limited to, Standards of Conduct, Environmental, Employment Law, NERC Reliability Standards and Safety. Must be familiar with, and comply with, all aspects of Corporate Policy C-54, Compliance.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related area of study, or equivalent experience gained through progressively greater responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

• Understanding of accounting, financial statements and systems and how they interrelate.
• Strong budgeting and financial analytical experience.
• Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others.
• General knowledge of the operation of electric and cooperative utilities.
• Ability to communicate results effectively, both verbally and written.
• Ability to plan and carry out work independently; setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to document procedures/processes for various financial forecasting and modeling tasks to ensure business continuity.
• Must be able to demonstrate satisfactory performance of all the essential functions of the position.
• Extensive working knowledge of computers, computerized accounting systems, forecasting tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other related software.
• Ability to effectively organize and manage meetings.

Experience:

• Twelve (12) years of related experience, five (5) of which must have been in a managerial capacity.

Other:

• Willingness to travel as required for training and meetings throughout service territory. (Must possess a valid driver's license.)
