Key Roles
The Technical Applications Functional Analyst is a key liaison between Production, Power Delivery, IT, and other business units to deliver solutions through Maximo/CMMS and other technologies that enhance productivity, lower costs, and improve information delivery for the operations and maintenance of EKPC assets. This position is responsible for working with other departments to coordinate efforts to identify and refine detailed requirements, analyze business needs, formulate and define system scope and objectives, and evaluate processes to recommend hardware and software modifications and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Provides functional Maximo/CMMS expertise and assists with technical research for other applications fleet wide.
Responds to daily Maximo/CMMS and scheduling software (AKWIRE) issues for functional area including user entry and processing problems.
Leads and participates in implementation of new processes, interfaces, and enhancements to the current system including software maintenance, upgrades, and new implementation.
Provides system administrator support for the OPPM system including making simple changes and managing implementation of major changes with contract resources.
Responsible for data ties between Maximo and Primavera P6 including development, implementation, testing, and accuracy.
Interprets functional requirements and translates into technical specifications and process flows.
Troubleshoots software issues and partners with internal subject matter experts (SMEs), external developers, and EKPC IT for problem resolution.
Partners with Power Delivery, Production, and other staff to develop and maintain test scripts to ensure testing encompasses all affected areas and processes. Regularly reviews testing results with related staff, and assists with problem solving as required.
Partners with stakeholders/subject matter experts to evaluate business improvements and opportunities.
Identifies and analyzes issues with system and/or business processes for documentation, researches to identify and recommend solutions. Translates business needs to a functional specification used for internal/external development and implementation. Works with team leadership to present information to management.
Serves as analyst for projects throughout the application lifecycle and completes associated tasks including understanding project objectives, gathering requirements, ensuring requirements are addressed in designs, development, and project status communication.
Creates, updates, and reviews functional and project related documents, user reference guides, testing, and training materials.
Creates and maintains user acceptance testing documentation including testing plans, completion statuses, and timelines.
Manages user acceptance testing for the production fleet and other areas as required.
Provides timely communication to leadership regarding application issues.
Develops reports and analytics to provide insight into health of maintenance program and recommends other metrics that benefits the production fleet.
Builds complex queries and trains other users on their development and functionality.
May be required to perform CMMS Analyst/Coordinator duties during resource disruption.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
Experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years of related experience, preferably Maximo/CMMS administrator related.
Experience with large software implementations – interfaced and integrated systems.
Computer programming experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of Maximo Enterprise Asset Management Software, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, and related business maintenance processes.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel at all levels of the organization, including external contacts.

Primavera P6 Experience and knowledge, both conceptual and functional preferred.
Thorough understanding of the function and importance of a CMMS as it relates to reliability, safety, environmental, and NERC/SERC Compliance.

Usual office conditions apply to this position with occasional lifting up to twenty (20) pounds.
Will need to be willing and able to travel to the plants and may shadow technicians, supervision, and management. Could be required for extended periods of time.
