We are currently seeking students in accounting and/or finance curriculums to fill accounting internships at our Headquarters facility in Springfield, Missouri. These positions offer employment during the 2023-2024 school year. Normal working days are Monday through Friday. You could also potentially receive course credit while working at AECI! Qualified applicants must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. You must also be enrolled in school at the time of the internship.
Accounts Payable Intern will assist with organizing and processing incoming invoices, statements, and payment requests. Handle vendor change, tax and W8/W9 forms and requests. Support audit paperwork preparation, monthly journal entry preparation and monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Audit intern will assist with work paper preparation and fieldwork for operational, compliance, and financial audits for AECI and its members. There will be travel opportunities during the summer to assist with inventory counts. Company vehicle will be provided.
Energy Accounting Intern will work with our Transmission Services departing in our Engineering & Operations division. Projects may include developing purchase order, invoice and refund requests; using Excel to track information for projects and purchase orders; coordinating with Accounting & Finance for account coding and invoice payments; and researching and updating dashboards as needed.
