At the New Madrid Power Plant, we are on the hunt for a dedicated and collaborative individual to fill our role of Controls Engineer.

This position will have several responsibilities, such as:

• Control system modernization projects, which including maintaining power plant control system documentation, equipment history, standardization and modernization information for all generating assets.
• Perform periodic assessments of control systems to evaluate functionality, obsolescence, operability and maintainability.
• Capture system information to ensure clear documentation of design and existing installation characteristics.
• Provide engineering support for the maintenance and operation of DCS control systems, the CEMS system, and of the auxiliary and PLC control systems.

Requirements

• Engineering experience in the power industry working on instrumentation and controls systems.
• Possess a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Experience supporting distributed control systems manufactured by Emerson Ovation is preferred.
