The Apprentice Meter Tech. must have completed line school (with certification and accreditation), hold a CDL, and be willing and able to climb system distribution poles. Upon hire, Apprentice Meter Tech must be able to begin and complete the employer-approved, meter tech apprenticeship training program, in accordance with NEA guidelines. Essentials: Follow all safety requirements for applicable work, install and maintain metering systems, assist lineman and other departments as needed, assist with coordinating all substation inspections, maintenance, and recordkeeping, program and modify special equipment, must possess good interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain a harmonious relationship with all cooperative personnel and the members, and must possess oral and written communication skills in the English language.

CPR/First aid certification

Intermediate or above-average computer skills
CDL at hire/must hold a valid WY Class A driver’s license
