The SCADA Systems Administrator will support CoServ’s business users in the areas of Operation, Currency, and Functionality. Working with the user base, the successful candidate will provide insight and expertise into initiatives aimed at CoServ’s SCADA Systems. The SCADA Admin will also support and champion new business ideas and concepts through operational process and technology improvements successfully assisting in ensuring overall system health and availability through monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing application processes.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Supports SCADA application to ensure system operation and reliability.
Must be available to respond to emergency situations and participate in IT response to any SCADA system issues.
Configuration Management of Lower and Production SCADA environments, including user access and server management relating to the SCADA system
Documents and maintains business process and data flow documentation for the SCADA environments.
Supports the business users and the business processes that are utilized within the SCADA system.
Manages the full lifecycle of user accounts.
Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware, software, and system problems.
Identifies business opportunities and recommendations for business processes improvements that will improve quality and satisfy efficiency goals.
Oversees any integration from other application systems into the SCADA application.
Provides vendor management for the SCADA software and backend system hardware.
Responds to SCADA system application failures or abnormalities and recommends corrective action.
Works with other IT teams to coordinate system support and security practices.
Assists in the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of security measures. Monitors and maintains awareness of technology trends in the Operation Technology space.
Collects and analyzes data for growth and decision support.
Leads application projects by communicating and coordinating with Business and IT stakeholders and providing vendor management to support SCADA upgrade projects.
Monitors SCADA systems ensuring that patches and versions are current.
Assists in providing data pulls when requested.
Oversees and ensures system failovers when needed.
Complies with established CoServ safety and operating rules, procedures, and guidelines, including reporting unsafe practices to a supervisor.
Complies with established CoServ Information Security Handbook, policies, procedures, and guidelines, including reporting suspected information security incidents to Tech Support
Secondary Position Responsibilities
Provides technical direction and oversight to others as needed.
Stays up to date on advances in technology.
Maintains security of confidential information.
May require more than 40 hours per week.
Requires some after-hour and on-call workdays.
Attends a minimum of 8 hours per year of required company training and employee development.
Attends monthly department safety meeting.

Education and Certifications Required
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience Required
2 -3 Years functioning as a SCADA Systems Administrator with Electric Utility Experience.
4+ years of experience hands on SCADA showing progressive responsibilities.
Experience Preferred
SCADA Electric and Gas utility experience using OSI’s SCADA
Experience in a co-op environment

In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making

Ability to operate office machinery, such as copier, fax machine and personal computer.
Skills and Abilities Preferred
Knowledge of state and federal regulations for gas utilities
Knowledge of gas construction standards
Project management and Business Analyst experience
Knowledge of Business Process Model & Notation Standards
Physical Requirements
Work in an office environment
Operates office equipment such as a computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Ability to drive occasionally as needed.
Ability to sit in a chair and use a computer for long periods of time.
Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Travels to conferences as necessary
