The Joint Use Administrator will ensure that all joint use contracts are properly maintained and attachments are properly permitted and invoiced and to provide all staking functions for system extensions and relocations and to communicate corporate service requirements to customers.
Major Areas of Responsibilities:
Safety and Corporate Standards

Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Joint Use Contracts
Maintain knowledge of all Joint Use contracts including all CATV, telecommunication, fiber companies and governmental agencies requesting to attach to our poles.
Assist in the negotiation of all new Joint Use contracts.
Track all new attachment requests including any required make-ready work to ensure compliance with the NESC and Cobb EMC Construction Standards.
Prepare quarterly billing report for new permits and make-ready work.
Prepare yearly billing report for all Joint Use companies.
NJUNS (National Joint Use Notification System)
Maintain knowledge of the NJUNS systems as it pertains to utilities in the State of Georgia
Ensure that NJUNS tickets are correctly entered for all pole transfers.
Monitor the NJUNS system to ensure that tickets are properly progressing through the system and bill any delinquent companies the appropriate fees.
Line Extensions and Conversions
Design and stake all assigned multi- and single-phase line extensions and conversions, primarily on individual homes, subdivisions, small commercial assignments, and line conversions.
Design and stake distribution systems to conform to corporate and NESC specifications.
Coordinate assigned jobs with other departments, other utilities, and governmental agencies.
Size transformers to adequately serve customer loads.
Maintain accurate knowledge of underground and overhead specifications.
Conduct fault current calculations and provide to the customer.
Easement and Right-of-Way Permits
Secure new service contracts from customers and developers.
Obtain information and maintain knowledge of federal, state, and county government specifications for securing permits and easements, including lane closure permits.
Maintain familiarity with other utilities' specifications for obtaining permits and encroachments.
Provide accurate estimate of construction costs.
Obtain NPDES storm water permits as required by federal regulations.
GRM Systems
Maintain and communicate current knowledge of GRM systems changes, procedures, and improvements.
Ensure data accuracy and completeness of GRM systems data.
Perform quality assurance procedures on GRM systems data, as required.
Make positive suggestions for improving GRM systems operations and applications.
Customer Inquiries
Keep supervisor informed of any unusual customer complaints.
Ensure that all customer complaints from the field within area of responsibility are immediately resolved.
Ensure unresolved complaints are routed to the proper personnel within one day of notification.
Vocational/technical school diploma or equivalent in electrical or electronics technology or a related field.
Minimum five years’ experience in electrical distribution system design.
Thorough knowledge of corporate policies, procedures, construction specifications, line extension practices and the NESC related to clearances.
Working knowledgeof Geospatial Resource Management (GRM) systems and electric utility equipment and materials.
