South Central Power Company, Ohio’s largest electric cooperative, is seeking an individual to fill the position of Customer Service Representative. This is a newly created position in our fiber division and will report out of our Lancaster, Ohio headquarters.
This is a position will work in our call center supporting and coordinating fiber service transactions between customers and technicians in support of fiber product and service sales, installation, billing, provisioning, and integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by taking all inbound calls related to our fiber division. The position will serve as the first point of contact prepared to answer questions and share information regarding our fiber and phone products, construction process and timeline, billing, payments, home installation and service and transfer requests.
We are looking for an experienced individual who is self-motivated, organized, and handles situations with tact and poise. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, effective problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal skills.
What the job requires…
High school diploma is required. Post-secondary education in the area of Business Administration equivalent to an associate degree is preferred. One or more years’ experience and demonstrated proficiency in customer service functions, organization, and prioritization of tasks.
Excellent organizational and follow-through skills. Highly self-motivated, driven, and detail oriented. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
