Arizona G&T Cooperatives is seeking candidates for the position of Energy Services Administrator in Benson, AZ. This position will perform daily accounting functions to validate accuracy of Member power, transmission, and fuel sales and purchases and will also need to understand the relationship to after-the-fact energy accounting and the Member energy allocation program to ensure data integrity. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Validating the accuracy of transaction data in MCG and the Member Hourly Cost Causation (HCC), including implementing and testing changes in the HCC software.
Approving pre-schedule e-tags and confirming pre-schedule net schedules with the host Balance Authority Area.
Working closely with ACES related to front office activities related to our Members and Customers.
Assisting with physical and financial Natural Gas accounting and settlement.
Analyzing CAISO EIM operation and settlement data to validate accuracy and identify irregularities for further analysis.
Preparing internal & external reports as needed.
Interfacing with other internal departments and external entities, as needed.
Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related field. Successful candidates should have high mathematical, organizational and analytical skill and also a high proficiency with PCs and Excel. Knowledge of power systems, Open Access Transmission Tariffs, OASIS scheduling, NERC tagging, energy marketing and trading is also a plus.

Arizona G&T Cooperatives provide power to more than 160,000 electric meters and 400,000 people in Arizona, California and New Mexico through six Class A Member distribution cooperatives. One of 63 G&T electric coops in the nation, we own and operate Apache Generating Station near Cochise, east of Benson. The plant has a combined gross generating capacity of 605 megawatts. We also purchase power to meet member energy needs during peak summer energy use.
Our transmission system operates and maintains more than 622 miles of electric power transmission line and 27 substations reaching out from our Apache Generating Station, across Arizona to the northwestern corner of the state. We also operate more than 30 telecommunications towers used for phone and data relay services by our member cooperatives and customers.
