Primary Responsibilities:
The role of Technical Sales & Procurement Specialist is to consult, validate, and propose technical solutions to our existing customers by leveraging your technical understanding and experience in server/workstation hardware configurations, virtual networks, and backup solutions. You will also utilize your experience in software licensing, including Microsoft, Oracle, Linux, and VMWare as well as manage vendor relationships for pricing, roadmaps, and contract negotiations.
Essential Functions:
Work closely with the Technical Support and Implementation teams to assist in providing accurate hardware and software recommendations to meet customers’ needs.
Provide proposals, pricing, and high level product information.
Track and maintain support/maintenance renewals and contracts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for third party hardware/software vendors
Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for third party pricing and pricing dependencies.
Capture and effectively communicate special terms and conditions in writing to be incorporated into the proposal and contract process.
Collaborate and build excellent relationships with the key stakeholders in other departments and teams critical to the success of related technical installations.
Desired Job Skills and Experience:
Inside sales related experience – proposal and contract generation, etc.
Demonstrable understanding of technology including PCs, networks, servers, etc.
Technical writing experience
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Proficiency in Salesforce CRM a plus
Employ excellent research, critical thinking and problem solving skills with excellent attention to details
Work independently
Work under tight deadlines
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.

Desired Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Technical Sales or another related field.
