This position requires electrical utility background. The Technical Training Coordinator will conduct classroom/field safety and technical training programs in accordance with OSHA compliance, industry-specific regulations and company-specific policies and procedures. Also, will assist in the development and instruction of the Line Technician Apprentice Training program, all technical training and refresher training programs for the Cooperative Trades and Crafts personnel. Will also assist the Manager with conducting crew/employee safety audits; accident/incident investigations, as needed; and administering Safety and Health training programs. This position will also assist with the Rural Electric Safety Achievement Program (RESAP) to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations by occasionally conducting monthly inspections of vehicles, tools, facilities, substations, and monitoring housekeeping standards.

Minimum
2 Year / Associate Degree
Major:
Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Risk Management, Science, Business Administration, or closely related field. Technical school graduate or certification from a safety education and training program.

Journeyman Lineman Certification or Journeyman Qualified

CSP, CUSP, or equivalent certification

Experience
Minimum
Four years progressive experience in a workplace safety, safety inspection, technical training, or compliance position with an electric utility, including experience in conducting crew/employee safety audits, facility inspections, tool and vehicle inspections, substation inspections and safety accident/incident investigations.
Preferred
Experience or similar work with an electric utility or related industry.
Education and/or Experience Notes
Safety or Journeyman Line Technician experience may be substituted for the required education/experience on a year-for-year basis.
