ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Constructs underground and overhead transmission and distribution lines: including but not limited to digging pole and anchor holes; framing poles; setting poles and anchors; stringing, sagging, and connecting conductor; installing armor rods, down guys, and pad mount gear; and performing related tasks of new construction of energized and de-energized lines. Installs, removes, maintains and repairs poles, steel towers, crossarms, pins, insulators, hardware, guys, transformer racks, switch racks and outdoor substation structures in connection with construction, operation and maintenance of electrical facilities.
