Farmers Electric Cooperative has an immediate opening for an individual who is looking for a career in electric metering with room for advancement. The position of Meter Tester 2 requires a high level of problem solving and basic understanding of mechanical objects. As a Meter Tester 2 you will apply established metering methods to install, operate, program, maintain, test, change-out and repair single phase meters as required. This position requires a High School Diploma, working knowledge of electric theory, and ability to perform basic math skills is required. Electric utility metering experience is preferred.
This Meter Tester 2 position earns a competitive salary. We also offer paid training, health insurance, generous paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, a retirement pension plan, and a 401(k) plan. This position typically works Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with occasional overtime and travel less than 10% of the time.
