The JT&S Program Manager is responsible for the safety education, training, and incident prevention programs for distribution cooperatives.  Create among all cooperative personnel, an understanding and acceptance of the need for continuous effective training programs, coupled with safe work practices and equipment.  Promote the establishment of effective local safety and job training programs by providing resources, advice and assistance. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Analyze the existing safety awareness and performance of the responsible departments to determine areas of training needs.  This will involve spending time with the crews in those departments and working with their supervisors to make a thorough assessment.
