Position Summary: Inspects, repairs and maintains all substation equipment in the system (except meters, supervisory equipment, and relays) to prevent equipment failure and promote longer life. Responds to outage situations to assist in restoring power. Performs shop repairs on the equipment.  Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities: Repairs and performs preventive maintenance on transformers, oil and gas circuit breakers, reclosers, regulators, and other substation equipment. Checks insulating oil for dielectric strength, PCB and acid content. Assists in installation and preparation of oil and gas filled power equipment for service.
