Provides analysis, compliance, and database maintenance assistance to finance and strategic planning staff members to ensure effective management decision-making relative to business issues, projects and/or initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports property and casualty insurance programs and assists in overall risk management corporate initiatives. Reviews and assists in the development of various contracts and agreements for planning, risk management and finance.
Assists in the coordination, development and presentation of the corporate budget, work plan, and strategic planning process.
Assists in the analysis and development of strategic or financial initiatives as they develop.
Researches and analyzes financial, economic, operational and regulatory data and/or information on various facets of the electric utility industry.
Provides information to support reporting and quantitative decision analysis including day-to-day cash management and short-term cash forecasts, financial compliance filings, property and casualty insurance renewal submittals, and interest rate elections. Maintains basic accounting records and prepares financial information.
Performs load analysis, reporting and research
Oversea electronic payment processing and finance records management
Assists with wholesale tariff and billing analysis
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering or mathematics
Experience:
5 years' minimum of progressive financial analysis and compliance
Knowledge of electric utility systems including wholesale and retail structures is a plus
Experience with insurance and banking preferred
