Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative has an immediate opening for a Distribution Engineering Director.  The primary functions of this position are to:  Direct and manage distribution engineering staff responsible for handling customer-member initiated commercial service related project requests. Commercial service management oversight includes initial customer contact through and including project closeout.  Facilitate efficient management of NERC, CERP, PJM, and PSC compliance, system software model updates, and reporting functions. Ensure the electric distribution system has the capacity, flexibility, and resiliency needed to reliably serve existing and future customer load growth in a safe, cost effective, and efficient manner.
