To provide full and efficient service related to all the Cooperative electrical wiring, substations, switching stations, and associated apparatus; and to assist, when assigned, with maintenance of communications equipment.
Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and complete satisfactorily the assigned Apprenticeship Training Program. Must have a Class A CDL license along with a good driving record. Operate large machinery and trucks. Position requires climbing structures and/or standing in hydraulic buckets to work at various heights. Experience in construction and maintenance of underground and overhead distribution lines and have good working knowledge of RUS specifications. Meet general residency requirements and maintain excellent communication skills.
Apprentice shall complete the Substation Apprenticeship Program and meet standards under the requirement of this policy and supervision of the Supervisor or Foreperson.
