Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with members and external parties to understand their needs and design effective electrical solutions.
Plan and design in-house line construction projects to enhance and maintain our distribution system.
Schedule and meet appointments with members for new construction, upgrades, conversions, or removals of facilities.
Create estimates for project costs and manage necessary paperwork for work orders, reports, invoices, and more.
Utilize staking software and data processing tools to draft staking sheets and material pick lists.
Maintain accurate records, including circuit diagrams and maps, using our geographic information system (GIS).
Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations, driving our core values of care and responsibility.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (additional training or an engineering-related degree is a plus).
Valid Kansas Driver's License.
Basic understanding of electric service.
Willingness to learn with RUS construction specifications, National Electrical Safety Code, and RUS Materials Specifications.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and instructions.
Solid mathematical skills and ability to apply concepts to practical situations.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across all levels of the cooperative.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information with integrity.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This role involves both office and outdoor work, exposed to various weather conditions.
Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing.
Strong visual and auditory abilities required.
Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal business hours.
