Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative has an opening for a Distribution System Operator at our Hughesville location.  The primary function of this position will be to monitor the distribution system in compliance with SMECO operational procedures.  Ensure the distribution system performs as designed and changes/updates are incorporated into the outage management system configuration, and SCADA.  This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the distribution system by directing construction, maintenance and outage restoration and under supervision directs the switching and testing activities, during normal and emergency conditions.  Ensures timely restoration.  Communicates outage, weather and emergency information to Cooperative man
