Purpose of Position: The plant accountant provides for the prompt and accurate closeout processing of utility work orders; maintains efficient and accurate work order and plant accounting records and performs quality control checks against supporting documentation. Provides assistance in analyzing work order costs as related to construction and estimation of expenditures. Monthly, coordinates with the plant accountant supervisor to close the transportation and fixed asset modules: reconcile inventory and provide analysis and reporting to leadership. Supports operations and engineering in work plan, budget preparation, and analysis. Assists in preparing receivable invoices of third-party damages to cooperative owned assets. Core Competencies:
