What You’ll Do:
As the Manager of Corporate Compliance, you will oversee key areas:
Corporate Compliance: • Oversee Brazos Electric’s internal policies and procedures to include development and implementation of new policies & procedures and change management for these policies and procedures • Oversee Brazos Electric’s records management program • Oversee assigned regulatory compliance programs, including tracking of regulatory compliance tasks • Support the climate of compliance awareness via corporate communications and training • Perform initial investigations regarding potential noncompliance and proactively report compliance issues/concerns to appropriate leadership • Provide assistance as needed on regulatory compliance matters (e.g., RUS, OSHA, TCEQ, PUCT, FERC and . NERC) • Participate on regulatory working groups and standards development teams; actively monitor relevant industry activities and legislation, and state and federal regulatory agencies, as related to compliance in the various regulatory environments • Act as Brazos’ primary contact and audit interface as needed.
Contract and Insurance Management: • Oversee Brazos’ contract management system and modify as necessary • Review and negotiate contracts and easements for routine business purposes • Support outside legal counsel in the negotiation of complex and non-routine contracts • Oversee Brazos Electric’s insurance program
Enterprise Risk Management: • Manage the Brazos Risk Register • Develop agenda for and leads meetings of the Risk Management Committee (“RMC”) • Develop and manage Brazos’ risk review program to periodically test Brazos’ internal policies, procedures and controls, including conducting or overseeing risk reviews |• Oversee task forces created to address identified risks and implementation of identified mitigations
What You’ll Bring:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business, accounting, management or related field.
10+ years of experience in utility operations, compliance, law, or risk management.
A track record in policy writing, contract negotiation, and enterprise risk management.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and drive team success.
