Performs testing and maintenance on single phase reclosers and single phase transformers; operates paint stripping equipment and painting equipment to recoat electrical distribution equipment; performs preventive maintenance on shop equipment; filters oil using stationary and portable equipment. Follows all PCB guidelines set up by Flint EMC when taking oil samples and retiring equipment.  Performs oil spill site clean-up according to Flint Guidelines. Responsible for retiring equipment that is electrically bad or does not meet Flint’s specifications.  Accurately completes all necessary paperwork for equipment being worked for reuse or being retired.  Assists Apparatus Technicians as needed with any substation maintenance items.  Provides support to Operations personnel with repairing a
