The Combustion Turbine (CT) Plant Maintenance Mechanic will be stationed at the ODEC Marsh Run Generation Facility in Remington, Virginia and will support plant operations at Marsh Run and the Louisa Generation Facility in Louisa, Virginia. This individual will be responsible for managing site-specific mechanical systems through preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical components. The individual will also coordinate and oversee mechanical activities and utilize new processes to implement better strategies for operating plant equipment.
Essential responsibilities include:
Executing mechanical maintenance activities to support reliable plant operations
Performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of plant equipment
Utilizing CMMS system to adhere to maintenance schedules to maintain availability and reliability
Ensuring the plant is maintained in accordance with all environmental and safety standards
Implementing new strategies to increase optimal equipment efficiency
Initiating and maintaining open dialog with plant operations staff and vendors
Supporting outages at Marsh Run and Louisa Generating Facilities
Additional responsibilities include:
Maintaining shop organization and tool inventory
Managing Vibration Analysis of rotating equipment
Ensuring gas turbine borescope inspections are completed timely and accurately
Frequently required to spend a number of hours outdoors exposed to all weather conditions at a generation facility
Capability to walk and work on uneven surfaces
Ability to climb stack ladders up to 60 feet and to walk on stack platforms
Ability to distinguish colors correctly
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Experience: Qualified candidate will have a minimum 4 years’ experience working as an operator/mechanic in a power plant. Equivalent military or mechanical experience will be considered.
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Travel details: Travel to Louisa Generation Facility in Gordonsville, VA as needed
