Boone REMC is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist manages bi-weekly payroll, managing employee compensation data, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Skilled in handling payroll taxes, deductions, benefits, and responding to employee inquiries while supporting audits, year-end reporting, and integration with HR systems. Payroll Specialist Functions Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, or other compensation. Assists with federal and state payroll tax filings, deposits, and deductions. Prepares and processes bi-weekly payroll, including verifying employee timecards and calculating hours worked.
