FlashFiber serves over 17,000 accounts in Morgan and Lawrence County, Alabama, and we are growing daily. We are headquartered at 25700 AL Highway 24, Trinity, AL.
Position Summary: The Accountant will be responsible for managing FlashFiber’s financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial data for decision-making. This role involves tasks like preparing financial statements, payroll and accounts payable, reconciling accounts, auditing financial records for accuracy, preparing tax returns, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications: A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study is required. Three to five years of accounting experience required. Candidates must possess knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting, an understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles, be highly proficient with accounting software and MS Excel and Word, have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
