Access Energy Cooperative is seeking candidates for a Lineman position. Applicants with Apprentice or Journeyman skill designation will be considered. 

We offer a generous compensation package which includes medical and vision insurance, 401(k) and defined benefit pension plan, life insurance and every other Friday off. 

The candidate must be a graduate of an approved electrical power distribution program by May 31, 2025, or have prior job experience as a lineman.

This position requires heavy lifting, pole climbing, walking across uneven terrain, and other strenuous activities. The candidate must be able to follow both oral and written instruction as well as communicate effectively both verbally and on paper. The candidate must be able to solve basic math problems and understand the operation and maintenance of hydraulic equipment.    

As Access Energy Cooperative is committed to Safety the candidate must be safety oriented and be able to meet all safety standards set forth by Access Energy Cooperative standard operating procedures, OSHA, and ANSI standards. 

 Cooperative is an EOE.

Pre-employment drug screening and physical will be required.  The candidate must possess a Class A CDL drivers license and should be certified for First Aid and CPR.

The successful candidate must live in or relocate to the Access Energy Cooperative service territory and be within 25 miles of the Mt. Pleasant headquarters facility.
