NPEC is hiring a motivated Meter Technician to work out of our Carrington, North Dakota office and in the southern half of our service area. Time will be split in between in-office tasks and hands-on field activities, including customer inspections, meter installations, and essential field support.

We're looking for professionals who excel at public interaction and communication, proficient with Windows software and willing to learn new technologies. Ideal qualifications include a journeyman or master electrician certification (preferred) or a technical degree in electrical or electronics systems. Education / Experience

• Preferred two or more years’ job experience in a related field working with meters, metering practices and/or load management systems.
• Preferred one or more of the following:
  • Technical degree in electrical or electronics
  • Journeyman or master electrician certification
• Experience in utility industry is a plus.

• Experience using personal computers and learning new software systems is mandatory.
• Experience requirements may be adjusted if the appropriate formal education and applicable work experience are demonstrated.
