Renville-Sibley Cooperative: Seeking Business Finance-Accounting Professional

Renville-Sibley Cooperative Power Association (RSCPA) is an electric power distribution cooperative nestled in the picturesque region of western Minnesota, approximately 2 hours southwest of the Minneapolis metro area, near the towns of Danube, Renville, and Olivia. With a proud commitment to serving 1,900 member/owner accounts primarily within Renville County, we stand as an integral part of our local community.

We are in search of an adept, experienced professional who thrives in collaborative settings and is well-versed in leveraging technology to cater to the needs of our member/consumers and team. The role involves handling general accounting, cash management, work order accounting, contributing to budgeting, financial analysis/projections, as well as providing assistance with member services - addressing calls and aiding members visiting our office.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust financial acumen, a strong business background, and demonstrated analytical skills essential for accurately depicting RSCPA's financial standing. We aim to onboard an individual who can effectively collaborate, navigate a sophisticated software system (NISC), and offer a forward-thinking perspective. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with a keen eye for detail and accuracy, are imperative.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• Will also consider Information Technology related degrees
• 5 years of experience in a customer-centric, technology-driven organization
• Experience in accounting helpful but not required

Flexibility in Employment:

At RSCPA, we strive to ensure that our team members can achieve a healthy work-life balance while being part of our Cooperative. We are offering the option to set a schedule ranging between 24 and 36 hours per week (this will be mutually determined). Even if the candidate chooses a 24-hour workweek, they still qualify for competitive pay (expected range: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour) and a full benefits package, which includes participation in our 401k, medical, and other insurance programs.
