This position will be located at our Spurlock Power Plant in Maysville KY. Key Roles
To maintain and compile accurate and orderly plant record systems and reports to support overall Plant operations. Tracks the plant’s usage of commodities and ensures invoices match to daily deliveries. Assists with cost control and budgetary compliance of plant’s O&M expenses. Provides and maintains orderly control/oversight over the plant office functions to ensure the proper, efficient and timely completion of duties.
Key Responsibilities
Assists in ensuring daily calculations of coal received.
Communicates coal weight tickets to coal suppliers.
Assists in maintaining daily physical inventory of coal stockpile.
Assists in maintaining a daily physical inventory of fuel oil and reorder fuel oil as necessary.
Assists with compiling reports.
Enters and reviews payroll hours for plant employees.
Keeps records and processes payments for plant’s Employee Association.
Orders all office supplies.
Processes all incoming and outgoing mail including going offsite to retrieve mail from Post Office box.
Schedules appointments, makes reservations and coordinates schedules of meetings as needed.
Assists with planning station tours, meetings, and events for the plant.
Maintains contact information of employees and updates the organizational chart for the plant.
Schedules fuel oil deliveries as needed and keeps daily record of usages and purchases.
Reviews all requisitions before processing.
Assists with reviewing and analyzing budgetary compliance of plant expenses.
Maintains outage records and confirms details and changes with Operations.
Routes phone calls to the appropriate company personnel.
Assists in ensuring all office and administrative support is carried out efficiently, timely, and by priority.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or related certifications, training, or education preferred.
Experience:
Three (3) years of related experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping, including a good knowledge of arithmetic including fractions, decimals, graphs and formulas
Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and familiar with the general use of computer applications.
Knowledge of all general office procedures.
General understanding on how to read measurement charts to ensure correct physical inventory records.
Knowledge of payroll, timesheets and overtime language.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization, including external contacts.
Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
Provides thorough and timely communication to leadership and stakeholders.
Effectively manages time and adheres to deadlines.

Limited travel to various locations throughout the plant and grounds and some travel within and outside the system
