PURPOSE OF POSITION To maintain and construct overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems. This Area Serviceman position will maintain our southern territory which encompasses portions of DeWitt, Macon, and Piatt Counties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Area Servicemen, in addition to performing all functions of a Journeyman Lineman, are required to be able to complete the following: Provide basic support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical substation equipment such as transformers, gas and oil circuit breakers, battery banks, and motor operated switches.
