We are excited to add a skilled networking telecommunications technician to our service center in the heart of lake country, Alexandria, MN.
A typical starting range for this position is $46.27-50.36 per hour. We offer market competitive base pay and adjust our offer accordingly based upon the value of the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience. Key Responsibilities:
Performs and/or assists in the installation, testing, and checkout of telecommunication equipment, including:
Communication site maintenance, power transfer switches, UPS batteries and chargers, alarm/monitoring systems,
Fiber optics systems including CWDM/DWDM, OPGW, ADSS, fusion splicing & terminations,
Develops and updates maintenance procedures along with maintaining equipment records.
Must be able to reside within 30 miles living radius or 45-mile driving distance from the reporting location. Relocation allowance available.
Qualifications:
A two-year technical degree, diploma, or certifications in telecommunication systems, networking, or wireless communications. Experience with RF and optical test equipment, including communication analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and TDRs/OTDRs. Cisco network experience/certification, as well as Avionics training are highly preferred. FCC license w/radar endorsement and other certifications will be considered.
