Midstate Electric Cooperative, Inc. located in La Pine, Oregon is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Journeyman Substation Wireman Technician.
Successful applicants must havea high school education or equivalent and be a graduate of a recognized Journeyman Substation Wireman apprenticeship program or equivalent.Five years Journeyman Wireman experience. This position installs and maintains wiring installations. Installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs all substation and system protection equipment and devices. Responsible for switching operations of station equipment, including power transformers, regulators, circuit breakers, switches, and instrument and relay transformers. Must possess or obtain basic computer skills. Must possess or ability to obtain an Oregon Commercial Driver's License Class A (subject to substance abuse testing). Good organizational and communication skills are essential. Qualifications include good attitude, skill, knowledge, ability, problem-solving and interpersonal relationship behavior. This is an Hourly/Non-Exempt position (IBEW 125). Mustreside within45-minute driving radius ofreporting facility.

MEC's territory covers 5,600 square miles and provides electric service to four counties and just over 22,000 members.
