The Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.
Responsibilities
Maintains subsidiary ledgers for accounts, such as inventory and accounts receivable.
Participates, as a team member, in the monthly and annual general ledger closing process
Assists with the recording of monthly transactions by reconciling and analyzing data.
Prepares journal entries, both standard and non-recurring and assists with the verification of assigned recorded transactions to ensure appropriateness, accuracy, and validity.
Prepares audit schedules, reports, and analyses for external and internal audit requests.
Assists with development of process improvements to promote departmental efficiency.
Provides financial information and/or special reports to management, with the ability to research and analyze account data when necessary.
Communicates regularly with vendors and other departments.
Assists with billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable duties, as needed.
The ability to handle necessary stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Progress towards a CPA License.
