Responsible for power system analysis in development of new bulk transmission lines and substation facilities. Responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and providing engineering support for development of the transmission system including planning coordination of Tri-State Member distribution system plans. Assists in technical studies and maintenance of databases and models associated with the Bulk Electric System. Perform engineering analysis in conjunction with neighboring transmission utilities. Will also prepare written reports and presentations on results of transmission system studies and other engineering studies. Perform Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) studies, as necessary.
Note: There is one position available, and this position will be filled at one of four job grade levels: Engineer I (Power System Planning), job grade NB18, Engineer II (Power System Planning), job grade NB20, Engineer III (Power System Planning), job grade NB22 or Senior Engineer (Power System Planning), job grade NB23. This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire.

Hiring Salary Range: $107,000-$134,000
Engineer III (Power System Planning)
Hiring Salary Range: $97,000-$122,000
Engineer II (Power System Planning)
Hiring Salary Range: $80,000-$101,000
Engineer I (Power System Planning)
Hiring Salary Range: $66,000-$83,000
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education and/or skill level.
