- To provide accounting skills to prepare costs of construction of distribution lines and facilities from work orders in compliance with RUS requirements.
- To maintain perpetual inventory records of all construction materials, major and minor, special equipment and non-electric inventory of products.
- To provide continuing property records by county of the cooperative's distribution facilities in preparing the ad valorem tax return.
- Provide analytical skills to facilitate decision making for the corporation.
- To provide accounting function for accounts payable invoice charging to the general ledger.
- Degree in Business Administration (or similar) with major in accounting required. Master’s degree preferred. Courses studied should include cost accounting and computer information systems.
- Must have a working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping. Experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, accounts receivable/payable clerk desired. Must be competent in computer software applications.
- Must be willing to expand expertise through seminars and training programs. Must be willing to support the Cooperative method of distribution of electrical energy. Must be a self-motivated individual requiring only limited supervision. Must possess businesslike appearance and mannerisms. Must be willing to work flexible time schedules. Must be able to pass required physical exam for the position.
- Must be proficient in written and verbal communications. Must be effective in problem solving and interacting with others to complete all tasks assigned.
- Involves mostly sitting but could involve long periods of standing or walking. May require occasional lifting of 10 to 25 pounds. Requires frequent work primarily using the arms, hands and fingers. Position requires stooping, crouching, reaching and handling.
