NEC is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Financial Services Coordinator. NEC is situated within the White Mountains of Arizona, 180 miles NE of Phoenix. It is a place of beautiful scenery and mild climate, with a small community atmosphere where you know your neighbors. The area abounds in opportunities for hiking, hunting, fishing and other outdoors sports.
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Support Member Care Supervisor with new hire training, special projects, quality assurance, and continuing education. Assist Energy Services with energy programs, special projects, and regulatory compliance. Actions and behaviors will reflect the vision and core values of NEC. Employee will complete assigned tasks with accurate and consistent application of NEC’s policies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties Performed Regularly
Assist supervisor in defining and following a standardized procedure for the disconnection for non-payment (DNP) task.
Assist supervisor in the scheduling of Member Care Specialist to assure adequate staffing for phone queue and walk in traffic and for completion of billing-related tasks on a timely basis.
Ensure quality customer service by monitoring Member Care phone calls.
Assist in customer service improvements by anticipating needs and offering solutions or suggestions.
Assist in developing Member Care and Area Office effectiveness by monitoring performance, providing on-going coaching identifying training requirements and providing up-to-date training. This will include training new hire employees. Some travel to area offices will be required.
Understand Member Care processes and procedures to provide assistance with various duties, tasks, special projects and procedure documentation.
Assist Energy Services, both over the phone, in person, and with written communication.
Assist Energy Services with applications for NEC’s renewable resource and energy efficiency programs.
Maintain a working knowledge of construction specifications and assist members with inquiries.
Provide recommendations to lower energy costs through a combination of conservation methods and energy efficiency suggestions within the guidelines.
Understand NEC policies and procedures in areas of responsibility to promote compliance with ACC & NMPRC guidelines.
Assist Member Care Supervisor in response to complaints filed by members through the ACC and NMPRC.
Perform record maintenance and updates following established NEC procedures.
Maintain a thorough understanding of NEC’s rate tariffs and their appropriate application to Members’ electrical service.
Adhere to fraud awareness and consumer information protection policies.
Actively participate in NEC programs for improvement of job performance, knowledge of products and services, and development of skills.
Conduct oneself in such a manner that promotes a harmonious relationship with members, community, and all NEC personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Formal Education
High school education or equivalent.
Associate’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
Previous Job Experience:
Five (5) years previous employment in positions requiring contact with customers and members of the public is required.
One (1) year of previous electric utility experience is preferred, but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred.

Must maintain current Notary Public status.
Have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license within 30 days of employment.
HOURS OF OPERATION:4/10s The cooperative is on a 4/10 schedule (Monday through Thursday).
